I believe it dates from the 1970s

This example is near factory fresh condition with only an extremely minor crack of about 2cm to the bottom-left corner of the helmet and a hidden split on the base which the head is mounted on though this is a non weight-bearing surface and is largely hidden by the helmet

The base is solid wood with it's original tomato orange gloss finish

by Le Creuset in the Olgive shape (now discontinued)

but the actual frieze is all in great condition
