Hosta Sweet Tater Pie Acorus needle-like leaves and fluorescent purpleOur 1996 release resulted from a cross of H. 'Gold Scepter' x H. yingeri (H. 90 353). H. 'Sweet Tater Pie' has thick, waxy leaves that are very wavy. The glossy, chartreuse golden color (brightest in spring) changes throughout the wavy leaf like shadows on a mountainous terrain. The 30" wide clump is topped with purple, star like flowers in midsummer on 28" tall scapes the perfect southern dessert!
