Also known as the Mons Star, the medal was awarded to eligible British and Imperial personnel who served in France or Belgium between 5 August 1914 and midnight on 2223 November 1914. Recipients included members of the original British Expeditionary Force, its early reinforcements and eligible medical and nursing personnel. In 1919, King George V
